Solano Cellars offers a variety of different wine clubs to aid the exploration of the world's wine bounty.
Here are some of our most popular offerings.

Two Bottle Clubs

The Zinfandel Club:

If you're "into Zin" this is the club for you. You'll receive two bottles of small production, hard to find Zinfandels from California and places beyond. Bring on the jam, bring on the pepper, bring on the Zin.
The Pinot Club:

Both the staunch old guard and the newly converted fans of Pinot Noir will love this club. Whether its raspberry fruits or truffle driven earthiness you're searching for, you'll be able to find it here. Domestic Pinots are heavily featured, but French, NZ and other countries will make regular appearances.

Special Selection Clubs:

These clubs are dedicated to the two best bottles we've tasted over the past month. They're aimed to please the more adventurous palate, those willing to go where the wine takes us - from well-known producers in Carneros to small vineyards in Slovenia. Available in "Red & White" or "All Red" options.

Twelve Bottle Clubs
Case Sampler Club:

Mouthwatering Verdicchio fresh off the boat. Bright, silky Anderson Valley Pinot from an undiscovered producer. Forty-dollar Mourvedre from sultry Spain that now costs a tenner. There are hundreds of reasons to purchase our monthly sampler case, and they'll be revealed to you, twelve bottles at a time. For around $150, or $12.50 a bottle, you'll get a mix of red, white, rose and sparkling wines that will perfectly enhance your meals, broaden your horizons, astound your friends and stock your cellar. There's no better way to go from wine-weak to wine-geek. Wines in our sampler case are hand-picked, ruthlessly negotiated and delivered with love to your waiting glasses. Each wine is discounted at least 15% off normal price because we Believe in these wines. Never look back!

February 2010 Mixed Sampler Case
Our Price: $150.00

For around $150, or $12.50 a bottle, you'll get a mix of red, white, rose and sparkling wines that will perfectly enhance your meals, broaden your horizons, astound your friends and stock your cellar. There's no better way to go from wine-weak to wine-geek. Wines in our sampler case are hand-picked, ruthlessly negotiated and delivered with love to your waiting glasses. Each wine is discounted at least 15% off normal price because we Believe in these wines. Never look back!
2004 Domaine de la Bongran Vire Clesse, Macon, France
Our Price: $34.00

Before you freak out about the concept of a $30+ Macon-Villages, hear me out.  Jean Thevenet doesn’t make Macon-Villages, he makes a flippin’ good Chardonnay from the Macon region of Burgundy.  Unlike a typical high yielding Macon vineyard, Thevenet rigorously hand farms his property, keeping fruit yields tiny.  The fruit is harvested late, some with botrytis, giving the wine an exotic nose despite it’s dry, mineral-flecked finish.  Thevenet raises and sets the region’s bar for quality.
2007 Domaine Gauby "Les Calcinaires", Cotes du Roussillon, France
Our Price: $30.00

When I think of a wine I’d want to bring to an apres-ski lodge and cozy up with by a fireplace under a blanket, it’s Domaine Gauby. The cocoa and bourbon comes later. Biodynamic and oh-so delicious, this Syrah, Grenache, Carignane and Mourvedre blend packs in the cherry, sultry dark cherries and berries, cassis, hint of fennel, lavender, olive, and all around yummyness that a skiing girl needs. Excellent with wintery lodge food like beef stew and cassoulet
2006 Les Hauts Lastour, Coteaux du Quercy, France
Our Price: $10.00

Here’s one of those wines that screams France. Plummy, some herby stuff, and dry clay/mineral grip. Simple and unpretentious. It’s a blend of Merlot, Malbec and Gamay - an unlikely trio...but it works. It truly tastes like a good basic Bordeaux with an extra shot of juice (the Gamay.) Chill it for steak and frites with sauteed mushrooms. What a value.
2008 Font-Mars Picpoul de Pinet, Languedoc, France
Our Price: $12.50

I’m so conflicted.  Picpoul is the lipstinger - the humble savior  of the appetite-challenged.  Take a sip, take a bite.  Simple, easy.  Why gussy it up with giant neon green letters and a coat of arms flanked by T-Rexes?  Because everything is improved with neon and dinosaurs, not the least of which is a citrussy wine with abundant acid that comes from French oyster country.  Go prehistoric on a bushel of Hog Island Sweets!
NV Stuhlmuller Cabernet Franc
Our Price: $15.00

Stuhlmuller has been garnering acclaim for years for their small-production Cabs and Chards from Alexander Valley, so we were psyched to find this new release where they showcase one of their minor players.  A small percentage of Cab Franc goes into their Reserve bottling, and the rest they’ve decided to put into this phenomenal bargain, which brims with bright red berries with a distinctive grainy tannic kick that begs for grilled meats.  A perfect house red for your new home bistro.
2008 Nanfro Frappato, Sicily, Italy
Our Price: $20.00

Frappato - where have you been all my life?  Sure, I’ve had other Sicilian wines - Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, etc. - but nothing quite compares to you.  You’re as light on the palate as a rose petal and just as fragrant.  Your tart, vibrant berries delight and refresh me like no other.  I can put you on my dinner table next to fish, poultry, veggies, rich tomato sauces, or strong cheeses, and you complement them perfectly.  I know we’ve just met, but I think this is love.
2007 Mas Neuf Rouge, Costieres de Nimes, France
Our Price: $12.50

The red wines from Costieres de Nimes distinguish themselves from their Southern Rhône neighbors by making Syrah the star of the show rather than Grenache.  What this means for the Mas Neuf Tradition is a slightly darker hued, more floral and spicy wine than some of its more fleshy neighbors.  It’s a bistro wine of the highest magnitude, and one of our favorite values - a perfect match for rustic cuisine such as the beef cheek stew from our friends at La Bedaine right across the street.
2008 Evesham Wood Blanc de Puits Sec, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Our Price: $18.00

Crisp, clean, zippy Pinot Gris.  The pinch of Gewurtztraminer lends a hint of spicy flowers, but it’s all about the citrus here.  This is a wine that hadn’t made it to retail before this year so grab a few while the small lot that makes it to Cali gets guzzled down.  It’s organic to boot.
