From the uncomplicated and fun to the brooding and complex, the staff at Solano Cellars loves,
you guessed it, fermented grape juice.
It is the most delicious beverage we have found and with it we mark our most special occasions,
lubricate our awkward social interactions, treat ourselves when we feel fancy,
and most importantly share with those we love, like each other!

When I go for Northern Italian wines that pair well, from pasta to pork chops, I like the bright Sangiovese tones of Chianti Classico. This 2014 model from Castellare di Castellina brings customary violet with a slight leather nose.
Its bright fruit is balanced with a dry tannic structure, friendly acidity, and a hint of aniseed. Open my current favorite, and tell me what you think on a Sunday at the upstairs bar.
What's not to love about this wine?
Minerality? Check.
Pretty floral aromatics? Check.
Zippy acidity with a full texture and notes of pineapple, honey, and stone fruit? Check, check, check.
OK, so what more can I tell you about this wine? The salinity and bright aromatics jump out of the glass and transport me to the coast.
Clos Saron is hands-down one of the best wineries in California, and winemaker Gideon is a genius with Pinot Noir.
His Old Block really speaks to his terroir-driven, French-inspired style with its gorgeous earthy tones and smooth red fruit.
