No typo here. Just an opportunity to get a peek at Tuscan Sangiovese at the height of its powers. Having shed the youthful tang and angle of its youth, this Chianti Classico now stretches out and has a confident progression of savory, sumptuous aromas and flavors. In the last twelve months, there have been few wines we’ve been as excited about offering as this one. Still standing strong at the ripe old age of 13, a good hour in the decanter will let the remaining grip subside. A wine this good should be brought out for special meals, but at this price, you could afford to do it up right on pizza night. Choice. (Jason)
