Description
In 2016, Noah and Kelly Dorrance wanted a new challenge, fresh from their departure from Banshee Wines (which Noah founded, and where Kelly was an important part of their early growth) - they wanted to write a love letter to California and its diverse terroir, through wines crafted from the state's greatest small vineyards. Nearly a decade later, and they're doing just that, with wines that balance elegance and gravity, intensity and finesse, depth and lift.
Noah and Kelly embrace the tension and energy from some of the most coveted vineyards from up and down the California coast. Each vineyard is carefully selected for the unique combination of traits it offers: Quality of fruit. Clonal selections. Hillside exposures. Diversity of terroirs. They're careful to capture the unique expressions from sites within the cool microclimates scattered throughout the Anderson Valley, Mendocino County and Sonoma Coast - of each particular vineyard, with that particular slope, with this particular grower, with each year's particular weather - all filtered through their own lens.
Stroh Vineyard is a family operation spearheaded by the father and son team of Dan and Andy Todd, lifelong residents and residents and growers of Potter Valley. The Todd family lovingly farms our parcel of Pinot Noir at the deep end of the Potter Valley using the utmost care. The vineyard is certified organic. Ya Moon is comprised of two Pinot Noir clones; 828 and PommardLight and refreshing, with notes of citrus peel, hibiscus tea, fresh crushed berries, this is versatile and endlessly quaffable even with a slight chill!
